In this classic Southern drama, wide-eyed young girl Scout Finch is about to experience tumultuous events that will affect the rest of her life. She and her brother Jem are being raised by their widowed father Atticus, a lawyer, and by strong-minded housekeeper Calpurnia. Scout is fascinated with the people of her small Southern town, but, from the start, there's a rumble of thunder just under the calm surface of life there.
